BFA Welcomes Matthew S. Weiler and Emily Aldridge to the FirmAugust 16, 2017
Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP (“BFA”) is pleased to welcome both Matthew S. Weiler and Emily Aldridge as associates in our Oakland, California office.
Matthew joins BFA from another California-based plaintiffs’ firm, where he primarily prosecuted antitrust and securities actions. In his position, Matthew represented individuals, companies, and investors who had been harmed by fraud, unfair business practices, and price-fixing cartels involving pharmaceutical products, electronics components, employment matters, FRAND licensing obligations, and technology companies. Notably, Matthew was an integral member of the team that collected $399 million in settlements for California purchasers of the drug Cipro, one of the largest cash settlements in the history of California antitrust law.
Emily joins BFA from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where her practice as a litigation associate focused on complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, and a wide variety of pro bono matters. Prior to joining Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, Emily served as a clerk for the Honorable Denny Chin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
“They are both talented attorneys whose experience and skill will greatly benefit our clients as we seek to hold companies accountable for fraud, price-fixing, and other wrongdoing,” comments Lesley Weaver, the partner who heads BFA’s California office.
