Lesley Weaver to Speak at AAJ 2025 Annual Convention on Class Action and Data Privacy Issues
BFA Partner, Lesley Weaver, will be a featured speaker at the AAJ 2025 Annual Convention. The convention is a premier gathering of leading trial lawyers from across the country, offering innovative CLE programs and opportunities to engage in critical discussions shaping the future of trial advocacy.
On Sunday, July 20, Lesley will participate in the CLE program titled "Emerging Issues Affecting Class Actions and Pharma Litigation," presented by the Class Action Section and Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Litigation Group. She will speak on the topic "Class Action Settlement Approval," offering insights into current challenges and evolving standards in the settlement approval process.
On Monday, July 21, Lesley will serve as a panelist in the CLE program "Strategies and Tactics in Consumer Privacy and Data Breach Cases," hosted by the Consumer Privacy/Data Breach Litigation Group. Her panel, "GDPR – Use of Privacy Rules in GDPR for Purpose of Blocking Plaintiffs’ Discovery in Context of Federal Rules," will examine how international privacy regulations are being used in litigation to shape discovery practices in U.S. courts.
