BFA Partner Lesley E. Weaver will serve as course faculty at the upcoming Bolch Judicial Institute at Duke Law School’s Mass-Tort MDL Certificate Program on May 26, 2022. This instructional program is designed to expand and diversify the field of attorneys who are capable of handling mass torts and multidistrict litigation by offering a highly interactive, in-depth exploration of concepts introduced at the regular certificate level. The distinguished faculty include leading judges, practitioners, and academics in the field of complex litigation, affording participants a unique opportunity to gain practical insight from several key areas of MDLs, including the leadership appointment process, case management tools — such as plaintiff fact sheets, profile forms, and census — Bellwether trials, and settlement and resolution.

Out-of-state participants who complete the program will receive a “Certificate of Attendance” and a completed “Uniform Application for Accreditation” from the Bolch Judicial Institute of Duke Law School. Those interested in enhancing their mass tort MDL knowledge are encouraged to register for the program, and participants are invited to attend the McGovern Symposium on May 27, 2022 at no additional cost.
