Biography
Amina Farooq is a paralegal at BFA and she is an integral part of a highly selective paralegal team supporting high-stakes complex litigation on behalf of institutional investors and individual plaintiffs.
Amina brings over a decade of litigation experience, with a strong background in securities and commercial matters. She provides thorough cite-checking and fact-checking; prepares legal filings; and conducts comprehensive document research to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and high-quality support in litigation matters.
Prior to joining BFA, Amina worked at one of Canada’s premier national law firms, where she contributed to complex financial litigation and led initiatives to improve legal operations and eDiscovery practices. She also has experience managing accounting operations, adding a valuable business and compliance perspective to her legal work.
Amina holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and has earned certifications in eDiscovery from the Institute of Law Clerks, and in Legal Project Management from LawVisionLLC.
