Bleichmar Fonti & Auld Adds Veteran Litigator Peter Borkon In Northern California
Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP ("BFA") announces that Peter Borkon ("Borkon") has joined the firm to help expand its growing securities and corporate governance practice on behalf of institutional and individual investors as a partner and Co-Director of Institutional Investor Relations. Recognized for his successful litigation track record and significant contributions to the legal community, Borkon will continue to focus his practice on securities class action prosecution, corporate governance, and advising institutional investors on issues of securities litigation, fiduciary duty and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) investing.
Prior to BFA, Borkon was a partner at Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro where he created their Portfolio Monitoring Service. Borkon is an experienced litigator, having led numerous high-profile cases and handled a significant number of civil matters in state and federal courts. He has represented investors in cases against some of the world's leading companies across various industries including financial services, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and biotechnology.
Borkon has been recognized extensively for his work, including being named as a Super Lawyer. He is also recognized as a leader in the Northern District of California, having been selected by the federal judges to serve a three-year term as a Lawyer Representative and serving as a co-chair of that committee in 2017. He is also a Director on the Northern District's Federal Practice Program Board and is currently an At-Large Member of the Ninth Circuit Executive Committee.

Borkon received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University and graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law. He recently completed a corporate governance program at New York University School of Law’s Institute for Executive Education.
