In this case, the class alleges that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles deliberately cheated on emission testing of 2014-2016 model Dodge and Jeep trucks marketed and sold as environmentally friendly “eco-diesel” vehicles. 

Judge Edward Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California appointed a BFA partner as one of nine members of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. BFA played a key role in litigating the action, including taking depositions and coordinating with experts.

The case has settled for $307 million in cash in addition to extended warranties worth more than $120 million.
