BFA Partner Thayne Stoddard was recently profiled by Law360 in connection with being named a “Rising Star” and among “2026’s Top Attorneys Under 40.” In the profile, Thayne discussed the most important cases in his burgeoning career, including recovering $420 million on behalf of investors in a securities class action against Teva Pharmaceuticals, as well as securing a resolution valued at over $919 million in a shareholder derivative lawsuit involving Tesla’s board of directors. Thayne also discussed what motivated him to pursue a career as a plaintiffs’ attorney: “you don't go to law school to defend the largest companies in the world from arguably doing very bad things.” As the son of a teacher and a post office worker, Thayne discussed how being able to represent the funds that back those workers’ pensions was meaningful to him. “It does kind of feel like a way to be able to give back to where I came from,” he said.
Congratulations to Thayne on this achievement.
