On October 28, 2026, BFA Partner Nancy Kulesa served as a panelist at the 2026 NCPERS Public Safety Conference in Nashville, speaking during the general session titled “Securities Litigation Panel: Corporate Governance Cases.”
Nancy shared insight on high-profile cases and important lessons about board oversight, accountability, and the role of institutional investors. Through real world examples such as BFA’s settlement with Wells Fargo’s board of directors, the discussion examined governance concerns and their effects on shareholders, the reforms that followed and how the lessons learned can inform the work of public safety pension trustees as they seek to protect plan assets and the interests of their members.
We appreciate National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) for hosting this important conversation and for bringing together leaders committed to advancing corporate governance.
